This is a working review trail, not another score-only checklist. Blue input cells, explicit gates, and a fictional example help make the path from observation to handoff visible without pretending the workbook is a complete audit by itself.
What the starter helps you control
Set a non-sensitive project ID, approved evidence repository, snapshot date, owner, and read-only mode.
Freeze twelve boundary areas with caps, observations, evidence dates, exclusions, and owners.
Reference approved evidence, freshness, data state, redaction, observed fact, review state, and limitation.
Compare expected and observed behavior across twelve CRM control prompts, including writers and fallback paths.
Keep fact, evidence, operational effect, hypothesis, confidence, recommendation, and proposed test separate.
Preserve what was accepted, deferred, rejected, or superseded—and the business reason why.
Track seven handoff items by state, reference, version, reviewer, and explicit limitation.
Trace one demonstration from evidence through control, finding, decision, and delivery without a client claim.
An evidence-first workflow
- Set the scope and exclusions before inspection.
- Reference client-approved evidence with sanitized identifiers.
- Keep observed facts separate from root-cause hypotheses.
- Map the expected rule, writer, owner, fallback, and exception path.
- Connect each finding to evidence, operational effect, and a measurable proposed test.
- Record the decision and business reason before packaging the handoff.
Use it as a review trail, not a data dump. Do not enter passwords, MFA codes, API keys, tokens, raw CRM exports, personal inbox content, screenshots containing unnecessary personal data, or secrets. Keep source material in client-approved storage and reference it from the workbook.
What it is—and is not
The workbook is an editable operational framework for a consultant-led manual audit. It is not:
- An automated HubSpot scanner or integration.
- A client diagnosis merely because it was downloaded.
- A complete methodology for every CRM or portal.
- Security, privacy, legal, accounting, or compliance advice.
- A guarantee of audit completeness, leads, conversion, revenue, ranking, or any other business outcome.

Frequently asked questions
Does the workbook connect to HubSpot?
No. It is a local Excel workbook with no portal connection, scanner, API call, or automatic data collection.
Does it change CRM data?
No. The workbook cannot access or change a CRM. Recommendations and acceptance tests remain proposed until separately authorized.
Is it a complete HubSpot audit?
No. It is a starter structure for a consultant-led manual review. Its twelve control prompts require professional judgment and do not cover every portal, tier, integration, or risk.
Can I place client data in it?
Use only client-approved, minimized information such as sanitized evidence references, redacted IDs, aggregate counts, and explicit limitations. Keep source material in approved storage.
Is a consultant edition available to buy?
No. The consultant-edition email is an interest check only. It is not a purchase, preorder, reservation, price offer, or delivery commitment, and no payment is requested or accepted.
